| Walking for Your Health |

The program will begin gently, walking for 20 minutes, and gradually we will be increasing the time up to 45 to 60 minutes in the six weeks. This is an outdoor program that uses existing trails and routes on the west mountain. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes and sport socks. Walking refreshes the mind, reduces fatigue and increases energy. More than half the body’s muscles are designed for walking, which makes it a natural movement. Its many health benefits include building strength in bones, relieving stress and tension while working the heart, lungs and muscles.
