Online Support for Teens with Cancer in the Family

This is a program designed by teens for teens.

If you have a family member with cancer, you might be feeling alone.  But you are not alone.  There is a group of us who are âthereâ too.

We are teens who are trained to give each other the support and information that we might all need.

We arrange to meet on-line for peer support, where we all share our feelings and listen to each other.

We respect anonymity.  Everyone on-line will only know you by your nickname.

The support is confidential (unless someone is in danger, or a threat to themselves or others, at which time we are legally obligated to report the information.)  We also share community resources for teens in crisis.

Teens age 13 to 19 are eligible

(Call (905) 389-5884 for information on other programs for those younger or older.)

"Ever since we started this chatline
I have found a connection with other teens.  I realized that I wasn't the
only one to have felt what I felt.
I wasn't as alone as I had thought.
"  R.W.
