This is a group of people who meet to assist and support eachother as we deal with the many psychological, informational, physical and spiritual issues that arise as a result of being the caregiver to a person with cancer.

The group is currently being reformatted to meet the complex needs of caregivers.Caregivers will meet in a caring, safe and comfortable environment to encourage wellbeing, explore information and resources, enhance coping and
promote self esteem.

Wellwood's Caregiver Support Group is for both men and women.

We respect individual and family autonomy and use a non-directive, self-help approach  to support and assist each other in a compassionate and non-judgmental way (through involvement, information, exploration and problem solving).

Participants respect confidentiality, and use discretion to ensure privacy and to create an atmosphere in which mutual trust can develop.

Together, we share knowledge of community resources and help each other to access services that may be of benefit to you and to those around you.
